A Provostial Center for Indigenous Studies at New York University

Founded in 2024, the purpose of the Center for Collaborative Indigenous Research with Communities and Lands (Center CIRCL) is to grow the practice, theory, and reach of Indigenous Studies and Indigenous research at New York University, and beyond.

Every two-years a theme is chosen to guide our fellowships and programming, including our speaker series, reading groups, community events and more. The theme for 2025-2027 is:
